Marvel Studios has just dropped new poster for its upcoming film Thunderbolts, set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025. In this photo we see the iconic team looking around seemingly at all the destruction that is happening and from what we have seen from the trailers so far, there will be plenty of destruction in this film.

The poster features a gritty, intense design with the tagline “Not Super. Not Heroes. Not Giving Up.” emblazoned across the top, perfectly capturing the rebellious spirit of this unconventional team. The artwork showcases the ensemble cast in dramatic poses, hinting at the high stakes action and complex dynamics that will define the film. The bold yellow title Thunderbolts, complete with the signature asterisk stands out against a smoky, battle worn backdrop, while the Marvel Studios logo and release date anchor the design.
Directed by Jake Schreier and produced by Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige, Thunderbolts promises to bring together some of the MCU’s most unpredictable characters. The film boasts a star-studded lineup, including Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Hannah John-Kamen, Geraldine Viswanathan, and Lewis Pullman, with Julia Louis-Dreyfus also joining the fray. Fans are particularly excited to see the return of characters like Pugh’s Yelena Belova and Harbour’s Red Guardian, alongside the enigmatic Taskmaster. This post was released by Marvel Studios on X.

Thunderbolts is shaping up to be a unique addition to the MCU, focusing on a team of antiheroes and misfits rather than the traditional superhero fare. The film’s first teaser trailer, released back in October 2024, described the group as “the MCU’s least anticipated band of misfits,” setting the tone for a story that’s likely to blend dark humor, intense action, and unexpected heart.
With just under a month to go until its theatrical debut, the new poster has only heightened anticipation for Thunderbolts. As Marvel continues to expand its cinematic universe, this film looks poised to deliver a fresh, thrilling take on what it means to be a hero…or, in this case, something a little less conventional. Mark your calendars for May 2, because this is one MCU adventure you won’t want to miss.
