KPOP and global superstar group TWICE has just teased that they have a song coming out in August 2023. However, fans are speculating that this might not be a new song for the whole group, but actually a solo song for Jihyo's solo debut. Jihyo has been the leader of TWICE since the groups formation from the show SIXTEEN, a reality girl group survival show put on by JYP Entertainment and MNET to form the group that is now TWICE. Fans have pointed out that the teaser poster announcement shows only one member in the car. Coincidentally, we examine the most recent TWICE music video, HARE HARE, a Japanese single, and the nails in this announcement teaser poster match the nails that Jihyo has in the music video perfectly. The color and shape seem to be identical, seemingly confirming that at the very least, this is Jihyo in the car in the poster. Since the group just released a new album on March 10, 2023, it does seem to be too soon for the group to release another album or even another single. Especially, since their Japanese single HARE HARE was released only last week on May 31, 2023. All this points to a solo release for Jihyo. Last year in June, 2022 the groups oldest member, Nayeon, was the first of the group to have a solo debut. It was expected at the time that she was the first to solo debut because of the fact that she was the oldest of the group. In Korea and KPOP groups, respecting your elders and the oldest person in the group is very important. Now a year later, it seems the next solo debut is coming and it makes sense for it to be Jihyo since she is the leader of the group. The first solo debut seemed to be a paid respect to the oldest member, Nayeon, and now the second solo debut is seemingly a paid respect to the groups leader, Jihyo. TWICE will most likely announce what "KILLIN' ME GOOD" is within a few weeks to give plenty of time to promote the new track before its release in August 2023.
